I don’t blame someone for trying to rid themselves of hemorrhoids. They very painful, irritating, and inconvenient. I know that anyone who has suffered from hemorrhoids desperately wants them gone. Someone who has never had to deal with hemorrhoids would not understand the pain and inconvenience of them.

There are several options available ; actually three alternatives. I have tried two of them and seen the damage done by the third.

The first treatment is one you probably know — creams, gels and suppositories such as Preparation H.

They will not actually cure your hemorrhoids, but these kinds of treatments do have an upside. (Personally, I have always found suppositories more effective than creams, even when the hemorrhoid is external.) Believe it or not, you most likely have internal hemorrhoids also, and they need to be taken care of too. The plus side to using these tactics is that they are easy. They are a bit uncomfortable, but they are readily available at your local pharmacy.

I did have some unfortunate side effects from the treatment, such as elevated blood pressure, which compelled me to look for alternatives. There are usually repercussions when using a chemical treatment for an illness or disease. In addition, my hemorrhoids weren’t even cured; the pain was just alleviated for a little while. Lastly, you cannot employ the treatment while your hemorrhoids are bleeding.

The other option is undergo surgery to remove your hemorrhoids.

This was recommended by my doctor, but I chose not to do it. My father had this surgery and he said he was in excruciating pain for several days. He likened it to “hooks tearing into my butt”. After hearing what happened to my father, I was determined to avoid surgery and I think you should do the same. It is not essential.

A natural cure for hemorrhoids is something I questioned, but now understand better. These are some of the benefits: first off, I was astonished at how strong they were. The relief is quick and they actually get rid of the hemorrhoids, and they cost less than medicines.

On the negative side, it takes a bit of effort to investigate which natural hemorrhoid treatments are effective and which ones are useless. I do not recommend that you believe everything that you read; you should stick to reliable information and verify everything that you read.
